Dr. Michael Dempewolf is the lead team physician. “Rugby is a rough sport, and unfortunately, injuries are common. I love working alongside the team, helping to keep the players healthy and at the top of their game.”

About the KC Blues Rugby Club
The Kansas City Blues play in the USA Rugby Division 1 competition, which is the highest level of amateur competition within USA Rugby. The Blues also field a Division 2 team that offers new or inexperienced players a chance to learn the game. Men from various ages and athletic backgrounds play for the Blues Club. The team currently practices and plays its home matches at the Children’s Mercy Training Facility at Swope Soccer Village and competes in the Midwest Rugby Premiership.

Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physician for KC Monarchs
Dr. Dempewolf is a sports medicine-trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in sports-related conditions and procedures, such as ACL and knee ligament injuries, sport-related fractures, and shoulder conditions. He works with the KC Blues Rugby players to help the athletes achieve and maintain their elite athletic performance.
