For Immediate Release: Sano Orthopedics launches Express Visits Online

(Lee’s Summit, MO) Painful sprains and pulled muscles are part of everyday life. But waiting in worry until the doctor’s office opens for calls, or days to get an appointment to see a physician can be frustrating. And concerns about patient waiting rooms during a pandemic often lead to unnecessary anxiety.

That’s why Sano Orthopedics has launched a new service called Express Visits.

This service is for anyone in pain from a non-emergent injury, who wants immediate access to a specialist from a computer or mobile device. It can also be the right fit for people who are in pain, yet hesitant to see a doctor due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cost is an affordable $25.

“Covid-19 has certainly impacted the way patients obtain care,” said Dr. Matt Daggett, Orthopedic Surgeon and founder of Sano Orthopedics. “Through our urgent care and express visits, our goal are to help patients make better decisions on starting orthopedic care. We want to help reduce the cost of care, which includes indirect costs and delayed treatment effects, and ultimately increase safety.”

The offer of Express Visits is part of Sano’s commitment to help the community during these stressful and uncertain times. In April of 2020, Sano added orthopedic and sports medicine urgent care services in order to help hospital emergency rooms conserve protective equipment and offer patients an alternative to the ER. The urgent care continues to be popular with patients.

The Express Visit involves a phone call or online booking. An orthopedic physician or orthopedic physician assistant will assess the patient’s injury or pain and make a recommendation. If immediate care is needed, the patient will be directed to urgent care or the appropriate medical provider.

This move is part of an overarching effort by Sano Orthopedics to offer affordable care, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Sano has recently opened a free-standing, spacious, state-of-the art facility in Lee’s Summit, MO that is independent from a hospital setting and capable of providing on-site minimally invasive surgery.
