Joe Whetstone: Athletic Trainers are Essential to Health Care

March is here, and that means it is National Athletic Training Month!

Joe Whetstone, Director of Clinical Operations, takes a minute to talk about National Athletic Training Month. This year’s slogan is: Athletic Trainers are ESSENTIAL to Health Care.

This month provides an opportunity to spread awareness of the impact athletic trainers (ATs) have on work, life and sport. Athletic trainers are health care professionals that prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate injuries for active people in many industries, including sports, military and clinical practice.
