Introducing Sano’s Ortho Urgent Care

Dr. Stephanie de Vere, Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, recently spoke with the Kansas City Star about Sano’s new orthopedic urgent care. Sano opened the ortho urgent care in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic.  With the recent influx of patients to local emergency departments and urgent cares, Sano responded by opening up walk-in clinic hours Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm, in the Lee’s Summit office.

Dr. de Vere tells the KC Star, “…we are ramping our practice up toward urgent care so we can keep non-emergent orthopedic problems, which is about 40 percent of the ER visits, out of the ERs and urgent care.”

Sano also started offering telemedicine visits, which are virtual face-to-face visits.  Given the positive feedback, Sano intends to keep offering these visits post-pandemic.
