Dr. Beutel’s Specialties

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the more common nerve disorders. As a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon, Dr. Beutel specializes in treating hand and wrist pain caused by carpal tunnel.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Arthritis

Dr. Beutel is a specialty-trained orthopedic hand surgeon treating thumb, finger, hand, and wrist arthritis. Treatment options are based on the severity of the symptoms, which may include non-operative treatment to relieve pain. Patients experiencing pain and decreased function due to arthritis benefit from the care of a hand surgeon.

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Cubital tunnel syndrome is the cause of considerable pain and disability for patients and is often misdiagnosed.  Seeking medical attention from a physician specializing in hand can ensure an accurate diagnosis and quicker return to function.

Dupuytren’s Contracture

Dupuytren’s contracture is an abnormal thickening of the fascia, a layer of tissue under the skin in the palm of your hand at the base of your fingers. This thickened area may develop into a hard lump or thick band. Over time, it can cause one or more fingers to curl, pull sideways, or “contract” toward your palm. Depending on the patient, Dr. Beutel provides a variety of conservative and surgical treatment options to help his patients find relief.

Fracture Care

Wrist and finger fractures are common. If not treated properly, finger fractures and dislocations can have significant consequences, including poor function, chronic pain, stiffness, and deformity. The goal of management is to return to normal function and activity.
