GEORGIE GONZALEZ, MSN, RNFA, FNP-BC

Georgina Gonzalez received her master’s degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. 

Georgie loves plastics because of the variety of procedures, patient needs, and teaching aspects. “Much like every other specialty in medicine, plastics are always evolving and growing.”

Georgie works alongside Dr. Jeff Colyer in surgery and clinic.

NATALIE KETZNER, APRN-BC

Natalie Ketzner graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She obtained a Masters of Science in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner from Graceland University and is credentialed through ANCC.

Natalie works alongside Dr. Eckland in clinic and surgery.

CHRIS KLIPFEL, PA-C

Chris Klipfel graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s in Health Science, followed by a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Stephens College. His interest in orthopedics was sparked by his mother, a physical therapist, who ignited his passion for medicine and emphasized the enduring connections inherent in orthopedic care.

Chris works alongside Dr. Daggett in surgery and clinic.

JESS KRETCHMAR, APRN

Jess Kretchmar went to Kansas State University for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, she pursued her nursing degree at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. She then obtained her Master’s degree at the Research College of Nursing.

Jess works alongside Dr. Roberts in clinic.

JESSICA CULLEN, PA-C

​Jessica went to Kansas State for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. She continued her education at Wichita State, where she got her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies.

Jessica works alongside Dr. Witte in clinic and sugery.

BRECKEN SIGG, PA-C

Brecken went to the University of Kansas for her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. After working at Sano Orthopedics in the Athletic Training capacity, she decided to continue her education. Brecken attended Wichita State University, where she obtained her Masters of Physician Associate degree.

Brecken works alongside Dr. Daggett in clinic and surgery.

BRIAN CALLAHAN, MSN, APRN-C, FNP-C

Brian Callahan went to Kansas City Kansas Community College and the University of Kansas for his undergraduate degree in nursing. He received his master’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Missouri.

Brian works alongside our physicians in the surgical care setting.

SARAH COMEGYS, PA-C

Sarah Comegys went to Southwest Missouri State University for her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. She received her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from Missouri State University.

Sarah loves patient education. She is a big proponent of patients being an advocate for themselves and taking an active role in their healthcare.

Sarah works on our Integration team.

MEGHAN KOCH, APRN

Meghan Koch received her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2009 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and brings broad experience in family practice, retail healthcare, emergency medicine, and orthopedics. 

Meghan works alongside Dr. Michael Dempewolf.

CARLY M. PAYNE, PA-C

Carly Payne received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Missouri Southern State University in 2013. At Missouri Southern, she played 4 years of collegiate soccer. With an obvious passion for orthopedics and healing injuries, she went on to PA school at Oklahoma City University.

Carly is a part of our Spine team, working alongside Dr. Stephanie de Vere in both clinic and surgery.

JESSICA DEERING, PA-C

Jessica Deering is graduate of the U.S. military’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program.

She works in our Parkville office alongside Dr. Woyski in clinic and surgery.

LACEY PEREZ, PA-C

Lacey Perez went to Kansas State University, obtaining a major in Health Sciences and a secondary major in Gerontology. She went on to Physician Associate school at Wichita State University.

Lacey works alongside Dr. Tim Roberts in both clinic and surgery.

HANNAH YOXALL, MPAS, PA-C

Hannah Yoxall went to the University of Kansas and obtained a degree in exercise science. She then went to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, for her physician associate degree.

Hannah works alongside Dr. Palmer in both clinic and surgery.

BRIAN MCCORMICK, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC

Brian is a United States Navy Veteran. He obtained his nursing degree from Avila University. He has extensive experience in emergency department and trauma services, as well as post-acute and internal medicine. 

Brian works alongside Dr. Carroll in both clinic and surgery.

Orthopedic Physician Associates (PAs or PA-C for those with certifications) and Nurse Practitioners are essential to our practice and patient care.  Sometimes called Mid-Levels, Physician Extenders, or Advanced Practice Providers, these team members act under the supervision of our doctors.

Sano Advanced Practice Providers have a focus and passion for orthopedics.  They are typically paired with one of our orthopedic surgeons to help manage consistency of care. They work either in clinic and/or surgery to provide quality care for our patients.
