Express Visit Disclaimers
What can you treat in an Express visit?
Why Express Virtual Visits
These new virtual (telehealth) visits have been created to provide immediate access to orthopedic experts to help direct your treatment plan. COVID-19 has allowed us all to rethink how we receive medical care. It has not, unfortunately, stopped orthopedic injuries and pain. Is there something you can do at home to relieve pain? Does it sound more serious? We know it’s hard to determine what to do first or where to go and when. This is why we created Express visits.
These appointments are intended for new patient consults or past Sano patients with a new injury. While it is not suitable for all orthopedic injuries, it can provide guidance for many experiencing pain without the need for an in-person visit.
Not for all injuries
Sano Orthopedics’ Express visits are intended for non-life threatening orthopedic injuries. It is not intended for non-orthopedic injuries or orthopedic trauma. Examples of orthopedic trauma include open wounds and lacerations, head/facial injuries, major dislocations, chest injuries, infections, and initial visits after motor vehicle accidents. If you’re injury is non-orthopedic, please call your primary care physician or visit an urgent care; for emergencies, please call 911 or visit the nearest hospital.
For chronic pain, we encourage you to make an appointment with one of our orthopedic surgeons in our office. In our clinics, we can take x-rays, do a physical exam and review any prior imaging.
Missouri & Kansas residents
In order to provide follow-up care and recommendations as needed, we are only offering this service to MO and KS at this time.
